Becoming A Sister

"Follow the star in your heart,"
advised the SSND foundress, Blessed Theresa Gerhardinger.

God’s call to each of us is unique. Could God be calling you to serve him in religious life? Yes. It is up to you to figure that out. First, take time to pray, reflect and to be attentive to God’s presence in your life. At times God’s presence is quiet, Elijah found God in the gentle breeze; at times God’s presence is more obvious, St. Paul experienced God with a great light surrounding him! Second, learn more about yourself. When are you the happiest, most at peace, most feeling like this is what you were born for? Third, talk to someone you can trust and is objective. Living that fullness of life as a religious might be your calling.
